In the early 1990s, Opac's experience in the automotive soft top and hard top fields sparked strong interest from shipyards, who were constantly searching for new methods to cover the space on decks and flying bridges (elevated decks equipped with controllers).

In the navigation department, Opac offers bimini roofs, soft roofs, and hard roofs produced proficiently using precious metals such as mirror polished stainless steel 316L and appropriately treated aluminum. The use of this material, combined with the use of automatic processing systems, was a bold innovation at the time.

Our ideas have been transformed into concrete projects, making us the world's first manufacturer to use the latest automotive engineering technology to build navigation accessories and components.

Opac has been collaborating with major shipyards. In 1994, the company established a dedicated navigation department, and over the course of more than 20 years of operation, it has produced 3200 hard and soft tops in 301 different forms for 196 different customers.
