In January 2017 Petticrows launched the new v6 model Petticrows Dragon. It is the 6th model Dragon since Petticrows started producing in the late ‘80s.

We decided to go back to first principles and studied a number of historically fast Dragons, using photogrammetric scanning and overlaying the results from various boats, this coupled with our own practical experience on and off the water and the eye of our experienced small boat designer Phil Morrison - we came up with our new design and created our new hull moulds from scratch using CNC machining.

The deck and internal mouldings remain largely the same as boats produced from 2012 onward with 2700 litres of buoyancy as required by the class rules.

As always we have evolved the fit out to incorporate new fittings and ideas to ensure our boats use up to date and great to race.
